1) We all know Advent's accounting was flawed. That is what started this whole thing. BPH would not want to give over all the details to MEC because then they become liable. They eventually will, they are just trying to figure out how to make sure it is not their fault. It is potentially bad news for MEC since we might have more than just one claim from Advent to MEC.
2) It won't get to that stage, Advent cannot hold this information forever. There are a tonne of possibilities and different things the companies can do, Advent IPO, do exactly what they did last time which is advertise for institutional investors etc etc etc.
