I think they gave our lawyers the 1600 page novel and that caused issues for both sides.
either side could have raised the subject of an adjournment because timing would be an issue for both.
whoever asked for it doesn't really matter. They agreed to the adjournment. Drafted a consent order, signed it and sent it to the registrar to get signed and adjust the a case timelines.
there was no arguments in front of anyone and the order was signed as an admin matter by the judge who was available.
govt will take as long as it can to review our response to the 1600 pages and there is nothing we can do about it until Feb next year unfortunately.
the govt doesn't want to make a decision: that's obvious from them and the previous govt so why would they rush to in November when they wouldn't have even reviewed our response and they have no pressure to do so?
