Gaps are like magnets and there are strong one and there are also weak ones.
Closure or not is just a possibility and some may never be close at all as they are subject to other factors such as supply and demand, fundamental change to the business and/or perceptual shift to business as new major shareholders step in.
When you present gap closure as an absolute event for a illiquid stock at current price instead of a possible event with a probability, it is likely that your absolutism would be disproved by the market and people would then see you as grasshopper yah.
