People have argued that issue with me on HC before.
My understanding is that if you sell in order to incur a loss to offset against profits elsewhere, and you intend to buy back again, then that is tax avoidance as against tax minimization.
The best way is my way and that is to never make a profit on any bloody thing I buy. lol
