bnrich: in terms of Biotas dimeric zanamivir LANI, (Flunet), my educated guess is that it won't be able to be used IV. It relies on cross linking influenza NMI molecules. This is likely not to be practical in an intravenous system because 1. it may not perform in this system 2. it may create large cross links that may cause clots or other side effects 3. the cross links might be broken down in the blood 4. the long residence time may not be valid in the blood stream
If it was possible then I would think they would have tested it in an animal model by now.
In terms of Sankyo's LANI, I have no idea because there is so little public scientific information on it.
I hope this helps.
