Gindarra: IMO your figures on Uranium are wrong. It assumes slightly enriched Uranium and totally ignores that U238 can be used to breed Plutonium which is 100% fissionable.I'm fairly sure the French and the Americans already use such reactors.i suspect the Russians do too. Thorium, which Australia has in large quantities can be used to breed U233 which undergoes Fission with far less dangerous by-products.I'm not sure if there are any power stations yet using this technology.In short, nuclear, IMO is the only present technology that can significantly slow CO2 production,even if it is uncertain whether CO2 is the problem.With Thorium use ( more expenive, I believe )nuclear can be used safely for hundreds of years. By then fusion energy should be a reality.In the meantime good luck with Nido
