Webzone The 777 should have been in the Qantas fleet years ago. Its probably too late nw anyway. And bcoz it isnt the airline is suffering, and the person who made the decision left with a $12 M golden handshake. Yes i have worked in Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and India, I am fully aware of wages and conditions in Asia. Qantas is an Australian company who should not exploit foreigners bcoz of their misfortune. Shareholders and the company suffered a $194M loss due to the CEO not the staff. Dont blame the staff blame AJ. The staff were working within the guidelines of protected industrial action, the only tool left to them against a company who would not negotiate in good faith. The only way Qantas will prosper again is without the present board and management practice of totally disengaging itself from the staff. its a shame to see a once great airline and Australian icon destroyed by poor management.
