Gridder, this is just a regional comment based on wells that have intersected the Aptian section along the Namibian margin (there have been a few). Clastic dilution of the source rock is more likely to occur the closer you to the palaeo-shoreline (i.e. at the time of deposition). In the north, there is a good example, where Wingat-1 had two world-class source rocks, but 50-60km inboard, the 2213/6-1 well had no Aptian source rock potential (coarse clastics).

An incoming party will take into account the Moosehead-1 well, in the south of the PEL87 block, and the Kudu wells, which proved a couple of regional excellent-quality, oil-prone Aptian source rock intervals. It is very likely that the PEL87 area is covered by similar. I think you need to go a bit further inboard of PEL87 to see the influence of clastic dilution (e.g. Kabeljou-1 Aptian was of marginal source quality). The fetch area for Saturn is closer to the Moosehead-1 area so I don't see the source rock quality being much of a risk for us.

Note, the Cenomanian-Turonian was good in Kabeljou-1, but that is a story for later...
