Monkey you make some good points as usual. Always respect those prepared to argue the rational and logical.
But it is interesting that I just noticed you were spruiking this story (in 4 - FOUR posts) more than 15 months ago:
3/5/08
ABN Amro released research report on 30 April which is a very tidy summary of where the company is at....it is going very well(can be found on company's website) target price of $0.94 which is fairly conservative....I have been waiting for some time to accumulate and now is the time.
A dividend can’t be far off in the future either??? The business has been built for the last 11 years and now it is positioned nicely to provide a return noth from capital growth and divvy to shareholders.
And 26/6/08
“On the back of its year end prelim results come July this will be off and running”
Then NOTHING til the recent placement 14 MONTHS later. In fact nothing til after the new hit the day after the placement.
Also noticed you’ve posted research DIRECTLY from Patto’s stuff before. Is there a link here?
Either way you must be disappointed if you were “accumulating” last may when the SP was 68c ish.
Seems odd that you’d only posted 3 or 4 times ever, all around then, but since the placement you’ve become by far the most outspoken Pro-Management defender. Get some stock did we? Lol.
Other point I’d note is how close your arguments are to managements. In fact you’re the only person I’ve heard/been told about, who claims the problem with ARW wasn’t in fact the way it was “managed” but that the problem was of someone elses making. (Are you suggesting that the house broker who floated it and “pumped it up” is responsible for its downfall?) Well the only person OTHER than the same management who oversaw its rise from 20c to $1.40 claiming all the credit and regularly pumping up how big it would be in the US only to then turn around and allegedly blame anyone and everything else on its fall from $1.40 to 1c. In fact you sound just like some of that same management. You’re right it must have been the tea lady or house brokers fault was it? After all they were managing the business weren’t they?
As far as the "Non executive Directors", they weren't responsible? So what were they and the Chairman doing? Didnt they appoint Mr Butcher? Didn't they oversee the business like boards do?
They, thru AMU, floated ARW and owned a significant/ controlling stake didn't they? Clearly we're all mistaken for thinking that would be the most likely case.
Either way this will only be settled by the market (A "more of the same" vote clearly wont change anything). 3 years on the market has been perfectly clear about its interest in this stock i.e. none. Unfortunately sentiment rarely changes without significant change in these cases. That’s something you’re clearly aware of; having been on the other side yourself previously it would appear.
You posted this: wrt OEC: and “new management”
“Lets hope not
need some fresh eyes and views on taking this forward”
Interestingly you seem to have been quite direct in criticizing OEC about their lack of PR and general market performance. Not this time? Why?
Last point: you have this to say:
“Clearly some people can’t overcome their bitterness of doing their dough on ARW”
Strange thing to say (you’ll find most longtime LOYAL AMU holders were ARW holders too even aside from the stake AMU kept til they spectacularly totally wrote it off) because the issue here is that it’s the same management/people involved and here we’re talking about people who can’t overcome their DISGUST at “doing their dough” a second time in Amadeus.
Note its the same loyal long time shareholders who've been totally dudded in that THEY didnt get stock in the placement unlike some others lol.
Anyway good on ya for sticking to your guns… lets hope you’re not back here in another 15 months criticizing AMU because the SP AND management has added another 15 months to the last 3 years of totally underwhelming performance.
My opinions only obviously.
Monkey you make some good points as usual. Always respect those...
