If this is approved, why wouldn't you ask for something of the same value in 3 years time?
Surprised people look at it in an all or nothing fashion. They are still able to reject/approve milestones on a case by case basis.
smac is right though, these milestones are more than likely in the bag rather than future incentives, so call it what you will.
