I tend to agree
I think they need to get the KPI over the line then ask for the retrospective remuneration in whatever form. Show the shareholders that they have the expertise and clout to warrant the bonuses.
If they can fulfill the KPI which would send the SP north and get the company back to a reasonable market cap, I think shareholders would be more than happy to vote for the bonuses.
