Optimosceptic, I was going to let this "typically unresearced" comment of yours go through to the keeper.
But, you have received 7 TUs and are now the head post in our forum.
So, I don't think that it should go through without at least some comment, otherwise people who are not familiar with the company might think that we all agree with you.

Firstly, I am certainly no apologist for ANY management or particular member of that management, but, let's just take an objective look at things relating to Icon Energy Limited.

Here we have a small cap little exploration company with a bit over 540 million shares on issue.

It owns 35.1% of what could prove to be the richest shale gas land in Australia in APT855P.

In that tenement, it is a major shareholder with a local major company in Beach and a super major of world standing in Chevron as partners.

In the last 12 months it has drilled Halifax-1 and has booked a 2C resource of 6392C and 1,115 3C in that well, which, had the highest reading of any other well in the Cooper Basin of 4.2mmscfd before it was initially shut down.

We have had Keppel-1 and Hervey-1 drilled and of those 3 wells we have 2 Notice of Petroleum Discovery Notices lodged with the government, the necessary porecursor to certification

A 4th well, Geoffrey-1 will spud in coming weeks and a 5th well is planned in the foreseeable future. FIVE wells in a bit over 15 months!!

It negotiated a Put Option of US$18 million with Beach for 4.9% of APT855P and that cash is in the bank putting a "price" of around A$1,000 per acre BEFORE the de-risking that has happened with those last 3 wells!!!

These outcomes just don't happen, but, whether we like it or not, our management, very unlike many others, don't go around blowing their own trumpets.

And let's not ever forget that the entire "Energy" sector has been completely abandoned by the market in the frenzied chase of dividends and when the word "gas" is related to a company, forget any logical and balanced commentary from the media or the analysts.

So, I don't think that we should aim too much criticism on our, what appears to be, very hard working management team that has come up with outcomes that, I bet, all other small cap exploration companies would be highly envious of and that we really have no alternative but to wait until the market sentiment turns towards "energy" stocks.
From my experience "sentiment" is very quickly reversed, either way, with RESULTS and I feel very confident that very good results are just around the corner for Icon Energy.
