If they go further right and be vigorous conservative then they will not get more than about 25% first preferences. Australians are middle of the road with exception of the young voters who are left. Therefore a 15 degree left of centre will dominate. Libs cannot win from the right. They cannot win from the centre either as they are then just Temu Labor.
