    survival? or power dominance?

striving for an ideal, or an ideology to dominate the nation, is a different game altogether. imo the further toward the extreme ends of the spectrum a party is the less capable they are of being flexible. and survival relies heavily on flexibility, adaptation, being able to adjust according to circumstance and context.

the view from the elite position is very different to that of people among the Hoi poloi. these people have learned to make do with what they have and simply live until tomorrow in the hope that their dreams may come true...... thus they sit in quiet obscurity and pay for their Netflickers and MacDonelds toxic crap, and often don't rise above their starting point..

the powerful, stoked with obstinacy and "faith" in their righteousness, believe they have the right to impose their beliefs on everyone else. so they really are no more convincing than any religious. if the right have their way we'll be stuck in a fossil fuel future and fail as you suggest. if the Left have their way, we'll miss all the benefits of capitalism and have wall to wall wasted efforts.

true survival is to thrive. not simply manage in the face of lunacy. these pathetic bullying pollies place us on a path to failure. one going one way, the other pulling opposite means the middle will always be ignored.

and so Aboriginal survival is doomed either way.
