The Chinese (Hanlon Mining, the Chinese Development Bank and the China National Development and Reform Commission) continue to play ducks and drakes with Sundance Resources in relation to their long-mooted takeover offer. The hoops that Sundance has been forced to jump through should serve as a warning to other companies dealing with the Chinese whose views on what constitutes contract negotiations do not appear to match Western standards. Perhaps it is time for Sundance to sever the connection and seek more reliable partners.
