Given that gold is priced in USD, Your right its only USD printing that will affect gold price.
Probably have a fairly muted effect on Aussie gold price as the AUD would rise in line with gold price although this may not prove to be correct as we could see a world wide switch from currency of all denominations to gold which could then see an outsized increase in the POG.
