"Summary: This year, the first round of the rare earth market prices surge lot earlier than previous years. Following the January round rare earth prices rebounded recently some varieties of rare earth prices continued to rise. The industry believes that, after a long time adjustment, China's rare earth prices have dropped to the bottom, with a reverse cycle basis."

This from Fanya. It's a Dy oxide index which started at 1000 at the beginning of November.
