Thanks for the post. I particularly like the last sentence, which seems a good summary of science in general.
The detractors who point at where science got it wrong, and claim that we therefore shouldn't trust 'science' don't seem to understand that it's a process of 'spiralling towards the truth.
In response to comments that "science doesn't know everything" a greater man than I once said: "Of course. Scientists know they don't know everything. If they thought they did, they'd stop!"
