Sure, it may be cold there, but if all resource stocks in far-flung places crashed in SP in the winter, we would just sell them for winter, and buy them back for Summer. Even if companies couldn't drill, they can do many other things. We all buy into far-flung stocks because they have resources Australia doesn't have, so Winter is just a part of the landscape.
