    Thanks Yuro!

    I have followed the permitting processes quite closely since coming 'on board' last December - and it is clear to me that Strata well deserves its 'poster child status'.

    They have left no stones unturned - as intimated in Bill von Till's presentation.

    As another example of their clever pro-activity (in addition to, for example, their handling of the Section 106 consultations), they have massaged a NRC-BLM mou in a way that should reap benefits down the track in terms of simplifying and shortening the Source Materials License process.

    Some may remember this memo from BLM to NRC on 27 january this year:

    "Dear: Mr. Camper

    Strata Energy formally submitted the Ross ISR Project Plan of Operations to the Newcastle Field Office on January 20,2011. During discussions from this meeting one issue regarding the NRC-BLM MOU was requested for clarification by Strata, this was the cooperating agency status between the NRC and the BLM, and how it applies to the lead agency role. Under this specific Plan submission the NRC will become the lead agency, with the BLM submitting comments to the NRC for respective input into the NEPA approval document.

    The BLM is requesting in the spirit of cooperation that the Newcastle Field Office individual specialists are consulted for their expertise and local area knowledge regarding the proposed Ross Project.

    Please contact me in the future with any concerns you may have.

    Sincerely.
    Richard C. Miller
    Field Manger

    This entailed a significant refinement of the inter-agency process and, as a consequence, got a wrap (as one of 2011's 'positive results' in licensing) in Christopher Pugsley's 'Licensing Update' presentation to the Nuclear Energy Institute a few months later (in April, 2011) - as illustrated in the following slide from Pugsley's PP presentation:

    LICENSING UPDATE: 2010 TO Q1‐ 2011

     The Year 2010 and 1st Quarter of 2011 Has Yielded Some Positive Licensing Results:
     Energy Fuels (Pinon Ridge, Colorado) Receives First New Conventional Mill License in Over 30 Years;
     Uranium One (Moore Ranch, Wyoming) Receives First New ISL Operating License Since 1998;
     Uranerz (Hank and Nichols, Wyoming) Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement Issued;
     Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Signs on as ?Cooperating Agency? for Strata Energy?s (Ross, Wyoming) New ISL License Application

    Make no mistake. Strata's team is HIGHLY professional and, with Pala and Nucore with them, I am sure they can negotiate the way through the 'noise' created by the current less than desirable macro-environment.
