Apparently no-one here has thought of ringing the company to find out what is going on, so I just did.
Today's works approval does not give us permission to do anything. until we get the mining permit to operate. There is actually more than one permit to go.
The tailings dam has not been signed off yet and it needs to be done by a geotech bloke that was stopped from looking at it because of a fatality at another mine and the investigation into that took priority. That is now concluded so they (whatever government department) can now get on with the other jobs but will not give a time frame.
So we wait.
Sorry for the bad news. I can't remember the name of the person I spoke to, but he was one of the mining consultants with the company (PLS).
