Perhaps you could share your source of information.
As i understand it there has been uranium mining in the district for over 40 years and i am quite sure that there would have been a mention of "alpha particles" on skin!
Rio Tinto has managed to mine Uranium in Australia and Namibia without such problems so why you are suggesting they would uniquely occur in one mine in Spain?
