Investors in recent LIC offerings QVE and FGX have done reasonably and would be a little ahead if the share and option were to be sold. eg QVE share price is 99.5 (slightly above their Oct NTA of 98.5) and the option price is 3.9c, meaning one who subscribed at $1 could now sell at $103.4.
Future Generation Fund (FGX) investors would also be a couple of cents ahead; I own FGX and view them as a long term hold as the well performing fund managers are not usually available to retail investors.
IMO all of these mentioned are worth consideration as long term investments that might not necessarily shoot the lights out overnight.

Thanks John. I sent off a cheque the other day to pick some up for my long-term portfolio. The stock is probably a little more defensive than what I usually buy, and that's possibly a good thing. ;-)
