It's to give some perspective on the macro environment - and people can make up their mind whether handling has been good, bad or poor.
in Victoria as of today, there have been 675 covid related deaths. Aged care is a predominant source, but I don't have the exact figures.
In Victoria, there are 66,800 residents in aged care. Covid related deaths represent at most 1.0% of the aged care population.
Note, the virus that had a death rate of around 50% in Newmarch House. Although deadly, I hope there have been learnings that have been implemented in Victoria.
