Thank you for contacting LLP. Just a couple of points that are important to clarify.
As CEO I am not a Member of the Board of LLP. Any decision regarding the acceptability or the offer made by Lend Lease, or otherwise, rests with the independent Directors of LLP – Mr Andrew Love (Chairman) and Mr Ian Crowe and Mr Gary Symons.
The Independent Directors have commissioned an Independent Expert (Deloittes) to assess the offer by Lend Lease and this will be included in documentation you will receive as part of the Scheme of Arrangement process over the next few weeks and leading up to the vote by Shareholders in December 2009. This will set Lend Lease’s offer in the context of alternatives available to LLP.
While this process unfolds my task is to continue to operate the business and ensure that the LLP’s responsibility and obligation to some of the most vulnerable people in our community are properly cared for is properly discharged.
