Baglimit i Know one recent example. MEO when they were drilling Artemis#1.
Their timeframe for dilling 3,500m below the mudline was approx 26 days and they were due to hit the target reservoir, around 3200m, at some point on a Saturday.

Monday morning before the market opened they released an announcement advising the drill had intersected no hydrocarbons on its way to TD.

So its a matter of drilling down and seeing whether oil is intersected or not, so by TD, this will be known-so this week.

The only reason news can take longer is if there are oil intersections which require wireline logging analysis ect to determine the quality and commerciality of the hydrocarbon intersection, sometimes this can take just days, sometimes weeks and longer.
