Yes the share market is the only thing they can pump up as a quick fix (short term political smoke to buy time to the next election), they need to retire the average persons debt to get people spending and it would have been cheaper to do that, many western overseas people have seen real estate drop big time while they had a lot of debt, as well as the jobs market dry up.

What was the point of saving investment banks, they needed to save deposit banks and let bad investments go bad and break up banks that had both, saving the deposit arm of the business.

They need to realize its real people that spend money in the real world, investment banks will just suck up all of the free money they can to invest where they can manipulate up the stock market, ETF's and derivatives, with all organized in such a way they cant lose, no risk. Until the next GFC, same old, same old, if you do what you always did, you get what you always got. Same thing that caused the problem but now four times bigger.

Isn't it strange that QE in the US sends the US POG up, but QE in the EU not.

Remember what happened here, when the GFC was in full fall, everyone was given some free money to spend, most of which retired debt and free roof insulation (good idea if not misguided in execution), solar panels would have been better IMO, as the electricity savings would end up being spent in the real economy for a long time to come, plus the jolt of installation spend, plus doing our bit for global warming all in one.
