I thought that I had posted on the matter of a railway connection - but maybe in the end, I started a post, and did not hit the "post" button.
It should be easy to run a rail link, from the Bayswater area (an existing rail line), to the Airport. Simply run the line down the tonkin highway, then down brearly avenue (link to the domestic airport), and then a but of an underground (under the runways), run, to the international airport.
I have not looked at the map, but my guess, would be that from Bayswater, to the international airport, would be about 10km, and maybe about 2km, would need to be underground.
Even though the road system is good, the present system is stupid, as a traveller, needs to use a taxi, of make use of a friend, when interacting with the airport (s). A rail link to the cbd, would open up the rail network to the airport
