And here are the details of this hideous killer:

'The deaths of three women over 14 months between 1996 and 1997 were dubbed the Claremont serial killings and sparked Australia's longest-running and most expensive police investigation.

Sarah Spiers, Jane Rimmer and Ciara Glennon disappeared from the upmarket Perth suburb between January 1996 and March 1997.

Ms Rimmer's body was found in August 1996 in bushland at Wellard south of Perth, while Ms Glennon's remains were found in April 1997.

Ms Spiers' body has never been found.'

Claremont killer Bradley Edwards found guilty of Jane Rimmer and Ciara Glennon murders but not Sarah Spiers:

'This is based on the three attacks he (Bradley Edwards) has admitted:Attacking and indecently assaulting an 18-year-old woman as she slept in her bed in the family home in Huntingdale in 1988Attacking a social worker from behind as she worked at her desk in Hollywood Hospital in 1990 and dragging her across a room with a cloth stuffed into her mouthAbducting a 17-year-old girl late at night from a park in Claremont and brutally raping her twice at Karrakatta Cemetery before dumping her in bushesThe latter incident in particular, Ms Barbagallo says, "shows that the accused had the ability to be able to subdue, restrain, bind, hood and gag a victim, carry her and conceal her in his car without the victim being able to scream out, raise the alarm or defend herself.'
