Stay away from this type of trading IMO. Much easier ways to make consistent dollars.

Its a double edged sword in my opinion. These algo systems are based around a particular strategy to suit a particular mandate. As such when market conditions suit that strategy they can perform exceedingly well as they can make decisions and execute trades far more rapidly than a human can. That being said when something fundamentally shifts in the markets then these systems cannot adapt quickly enough because they perform their tasks according the the rules codified within the algorithm. -----------------------------------------------
