imo perth is almost at game over. Im in the process of winding up my construction business, i can see the bad times coming very soon. work is drying up at a rate i haven't seen before, its becoming very cut throat. In the last 2 weeks ive had 4 different contracting crews contact me looking for work, thay are all desperate. Im fortunate enough to not be in that position (yet) but i am owed substantial amounts of money and ive had enough of it and being caught out losing money from builders going broke around me. the main builder i source my work from is on a knifesw edge, maxed out credit cards, customers not paying , won't be long till he goes under too.
So im going back to wages, i rang a place i used to work for a number of years ago (commercial and industrial construction) they went broke last month. ive managed to secure a fulltime job now earning good money. i will be staying well clear of property. good luck everyone, listen to the warnings before its to late
