Then they sold their custodial biz to a foreign bank, GOLDPASS I think it was called, can't remember the foreign banks' name.
Anyways, once the foreign bank got ownership they denied the customers their physical allocation and offered only settlement in cash.
Next biggie for me is the $ denomination stamped into their coins. Eg: $1 for 1oz Ag47 and $20 for 1oz Au79.
All state mints do this, but clearly it's a LIE , so why buy a lie ??
There's is much more to this IMO, some people say this doesn't matter but maybe when push comes to shove regarding legal tender it does.
Hard to nail commentators down on this, many like Bix Weir (Bix is really cool) don't get it, but others like Chris Duane do get it.
Bottom line for me is buy non-dollar denominated rounds, or just buy phizzy bars and swerve the minted premiums.
But as I say, state mints, ETFs, bullion banks, exchanges, big banks, governments, the chyneez, they ALL in the con job.
