Yes, true enough - as well as Melbourne. The problem is that we are quickly becoming like the US where there is an ever-growing disparity between the rich and the poor - including the working poor. In time, if we're not careful, we could see a 'back to the future' scenario of lords and peasants (so to speak), which in turn will create a dangerous criminal environment and social disunity. That said, at the root of the problem is housing - for everyone. Without a roof and an address, employment and assistance is virtually denied, and perpetuates poverty. The only entity that can solve/alleviate this worsening problem is all three tiers of government putting the agenda on a war footing. Without it, the future looks bleak and Dickensian.
