Very much agree, if your born to parents who rent in Sydney the challenge of buying a property becomes exponentially harder. There is a huge reliance on parents/grandparents to help with a deposit to get into the market.
Homelessness and people living rough has definitely increased post covid. A lot are also moving out to suburban areas where cash usage based on demographics is higher as stuff all people in the cbd carry cash around anymore.
I have seen a few people in the city listing either bank account details or payid on their signs recognising there is very little chance of someone simply giving them change.
