"IMT is pleased to announce the treatment of a large lake at Edith Cowan University in Perth. The lake, which is around 300m long and an average of 100m across, has in the past suffered algal outbreaks during the warmer months. The lake is likely to have become eutrophied due to runoff from surrounding areas and waste from animals and birds such as ducks, geese and other birds and animals. IMT provided a complete turnkey service by supplying Phoslock and providing application services. The treatment of the lake will be used as a marketing tool for many similar water bodies world-wide. Our Australian licencee, ECOWISE Environmental Pty Limited, has quotes outstanding for treatment of similar lakes. These types of urban lakes are a major focus of our activities in the US and UK where it is estimated there are thousands of water bodies requiring treatment."
