Playing Devils advocate here.... Ignore the fact the woman is a vegan, is it reasonable to ask not to have burning food or stinking fish smell coming from your neighbours house all the time? What if the neighbours being complained about were the vegans and eating stinking Durian all the time? I think this story is more about housing density . Surely there has to be a larger minimum space between houses? I've seen new estates being built were the block must only be 400m2 and the gap between building is on 2m or less.
We've had bogan neighbours before and putting into words the annoying things they did can be hard and come across as whinging, no doubt if the annoying neighbour was housing commission the "news" around this would be a lot different.
Again, devils advocate here, no need to go full HC Conservative on me.
