Actually, hotel quarantine has proved to be pretty successful. They are moving thousands of people through them every week.
If we had more ready to go facilities like Howard Springs that would be better. But, we don't. It's as simple as that.
When you consider the amount of infections , it's been pretty good.
That said, there is always room for improvement. It appears that this Perth outbreak is because of a shared ventilation system . After the failure in Victoria for the same reason, it is hard to understand why this could happen again.
Where are the feds that should be overseeing the standards to make sure the states have got their act together ?
It's shouldn't be that hard.
