Don't worry, when the next ice age hits the sea level will go down a couple hundred metres or so.

What causes an ice age. My recollection is that three factors need to line up to cause successive cool Northern hemisphere summers.

    * The earth's tilt being such that a cool Northern hemisphere summer occurs.

    * The earth's orbit being more elliptical than normal.

    * The sun's radiation intensity waning.

Subsequently, successive cool Northern hemisphere summers result in the Northern hemisphere ice sheet not retreating as much as normal, which results in more of the sun's solar radiation being reflected, thus accelerating the impending ice age.

Eventually when an ice age is in full swing, a lot of the earth's water is sitting on the top of the land masses as ice. Consequently, the sea levels will drop.

When is the next ice age due ... I can't remember, but don't hold your breath.
