China has committed to nuclear power in a big way. They also have vast amounts of renewables in the form of solar. They want to do away with their need for coal / gas fired power plants.
Doesn't really help Australia that much, Kazakhstan has enormous amounts of uranium ore, around 15% of the world's known resources, and they actually mine it...
