Does anybody here feel that we have a government that shows a total lack of interest in the Electric Vehicles?
It wasn't so long ago I heard our P.M. when asked about what Australia might do to take advantage of our nations resources etc and his reply was something like "what will the tradie do without a van?" as if to say one couldn't have an electric Hilux, van or ute.

Currently in France there is a company able to convert an older car to electric. It involves replacing the engine with an
electric motor. The cost is 5000 euros. On the profit side, in addition to reducing CO2 emissions and noise, this transformation is a source of savings, up to 1000 euros per year!
This older vehicle which has been converted to electric is turning heads as it is driven all over Paris on a daily basis.

Now before talking it down because of the distance range, it is a starting point for improvement and many Australian's might like to have an electric vehicle in the future but will not be able to afford one so at least this conversion certainly has merit.
