"AUZ signed up SK Innovation for a binding memorandum on supply of battery materials. Offtake about 1.5 years ago. This was later converted to a contract with a termination date that is from memory 27/09/2019 literally 10 days away, the contract allows SK to move on, unrestricted if a funding deal to build the plant is not achieved by AUZ management by the 27th."
ARL are looking for an offtake partner who is also going to fund mining to the tune of around $500m.
Do SK have any track record of doing this?
With the rising nickel price, low inventories and the Indonesia and Philippines issues, the next 6 months could very interesting.
If you add our expected news flow , it all looks very positive for our SP once Heron finishes their disposal.
