I’m here for myself & my fellow peasants who are rowing in the same boat & direction as myself.
I couldn’t care less about the size of Tesla’s ambition. That is basically a consideration of their emotional position. You might know I’ve lived in Japan. I’ve been very close to some interesting families there.
Ambition can keep walking- it’s historical achievement that piques my interest.
Tesla & Rivian? I applaud their efforts thus far but Tesla in particular has just been a useful guinea pig for the established & truly meaningful players. Their shareholders have paid for Elon etc’s ambition & the legacy automakers will come back with a vengeance, making use of the lessons those Tesla shareholders paid for.
To think that the big guns can’t compete is not the conclusion I come to.
I switched off after the tall poppy etc bit, no offense intended. Feel free to pull me up if feeling I give even a hint of something negative like that toward yourself.
Aussies? We’re hard on ppl at times. Nothing wrong with that- the elite should have enough riches to give them sufficient comfort & they operate in a different world to us anyway- they need reminding that they don’t have a completely free run every so often.
As fellows in the same boat I’d hear it out & probably have some fun with it in private- but not in public.
