Not a Tesla fanboy in particular, but I am a fan of companies...

Not a Tesla fanboy in particular, but I am a fan of companies and individuals that change the world by innovation and taking huge risks that pay off. Musk and Tesla are just beginning disrupting the car industry, and tall oaks will fall because of it.
There is some stuff the legacy companies should be very concerned about:
1. Tesla cars are computers on wheels and have full software Over The Air updates.
2. They are working on revolutionising the vehicle wiring, bring the copper wire used in a single car from 1.5 kilometres+ to 100 metres! using wireless technology, which is already built in to the devices and in house designed circuit boards.
3. I believe they are streets ahead in autonomous driving. They have half a million of their own cars collecting data, and it is all about data. They collect more data per week than all the other players are collecting in a year! They over 1 billion miles of that data, around 80 times their nearest rival Waymo.
They are currently retro fitting (to older vehicles with the self driving option), their own in house designed and built circuit board and chips, with the required processing power.
4. Factory in China producing cars by the end of the year.
5. Announced they are working on million mile battery.
6. New battery technol.ogy to come from their takeover of Maxwell Technologies - Hybrid batteries with Super Capicitors.
7. I am sure there is more!
