All I know they are working with some university in Canada to quantify the amount of CO2 the tailings absorb. Not sure if that is mentioned in the article, but I've been following the story for a while. Other companies like Canada Nickel Company are making the same claims. Both projects are large, low grade (.25-.35% Ni) sulphide deposits.
