We all know that Indonesian laterites are different.
The point was that China has massively invested in nickel all over the world, from Congo to Indonesia, and that this has brought environmental, humans rights and critical mineral issues to the fore.
The Chinese are smart - they know that demand for nickel will continue to grow rapidly. They have now tied up almost the entire nickel supply chain.
Aus, US and others now realise they need to secure resources too. A bit late to the party, but better late than never.
For recently invested US4.5 billion in Indonesian nickel mine.
The big picture suggests that all viable nickel resources such as ours, such as Sunrise and others MUST be developed to meet demand.
