This is correct, there are already a quite a few ngo,s operating on the ground in drc( merci coprs, AVRI, dan church aid, ACR, UNICEF) and more. Many if not all are funded through the UN, usaid, even indirectly through AusAID, private donars etc etc etc. that is in part definately also from our taxes so we are already supporting a lot of humanitarian operation in the third world.
I'm not against support but people need to be aware that alot of the time there is a disparity between the aid given and the deliverables on the ground....no point throwing more money and not having accountability for where and how it's spent
