New week, in some ways a new us ( Ardea and shareholders ), as we now know that the DFS will be starting quite soon. Day 1 of that DFS will be a great milestone to have reached & of course will bring in a different type of shareholder, as will each step towards production will via the perceived de-risking.
Our next announcement should be at the end of this month & be yet another positive event for the share price.
As always, let’s take a look around the news.
BHP will most certainly let go of some people & it’s safe to assume that some of the higher skilled/more experienced people will be included. A great time to be hiring, which we should be doing soon!

Over the last month or two some of us were predicting a reduction of the forecast supply. That didn’t make us smart- it showed that 36,000 - x = less than 36,000 which can not be overcome by opinion as it is basic math.
36,000 of course being the previously forecast over supply.
In the headline below I read warns as ‘admits’ as Macquarie etc are very shy to admit error in that their recent ( Jan- Feb ), ‘run away!’ type statements were made after higher cost mines/plans were shut down or cancelled.

The above article brings a laugh with it as it doesn’t even touch on the recent closures taking supply off the table!
It is also good reminder that Indonesia’s supply isn’t growing as quickly as it was in past years- basically they supply side growth ( global ), is running out of steam while demand just keeps growing, slowly at times but almost constantly.
Some of us also noted that the floor was likely setting in at the USD$17,000~ per tonne level. Well- what a surprise to see the prices follow our views.
Great tax discussion over on the Consortium Update thread- logic tells me Ardea management will take the best route for all as they are shareholders themselves.
