Hi all,
There has been a very interesting development in the last few weeks regarding deep sea mining of metallic nodules (containing nickel and cobalt, amongst other things) – they help oxygenate deep sea ecosystems. Hopefully this helps stop seabed mining. Links below are well worth reading.
