You may enjoy this video. It's just 1 of many mega projects being worked on in the middle east, india and some african countries. These all play substantial roles in worldwide commodity markets (stainless steel?) but especially copper with it's tight supply/demand fundamentals.
If you look at when china skyrocketed it's industrialisation it lines up with substantial upswing in the copper price. Makes perfect sense, over a billion people suddenly consuming massive amounts of copper.
Now imagine India (1.4b), Middle east (381m), Nigeria (218m) alone deciding to start building up big. Those 3 alone would be around double the population consuming resources as when china caused the last spike.
Except this time around, there's 20 years of underinvestment in mineral resource exploration and the supply side is not in a good place to begin with.
An explosive storm if this eventuates, for all commodities but particularly copper and nickel.
