Great post RED. I'm not a climate denyer either but totally agree with your post.
I would also add:
- Hydro can also provide baseload power too
- Pumped hydro and vanadium redox flow are the only batteries that can scale to a size large enough to backup portion of a grid at this time. Other flow batteries may become available in the future
- When you take into account the size of our land mass and the huge quantity of plant life on it that needs CO2 to grow, I would suggest that Australia's net emissions may actually be closer to zero but have not seen anyone that has published any information on this. Why not? Someone needs to because it is the only REAL measurement that means anything.

Australia will benefit more from a balanced point of view based on facts than outpourings based purely on emotion. It is absolutely essential that we have a healthy economy else: no jobs, no services, no social security, etc., etc.
